Medi-Weight Loss Clinics...glorified Kimkins?

Is Medi-Weight Loss Clinic a glorified Kimkins?

" It utilizes a low carb, low fat, low calorie diet, along with supplements, medication, and weekly visits."

"I followed the 400 to 500 calories of protein they recommended for the first week, and had eggs, chicken, ground beef, tuna, salmon, and crab throughout the week."

"On MWL we are super low carb! We are also sugar free, gluten free, starch free and so on and so forth.... That means we only eat meat and lean meat at that! No breads or dairy, they recommend no fruits, very little veggies, and no additives. I think I speak for a lot on this diet that we do use additives such as herbs to try and enhance the flavor of our food but it's not necessarily allowed."

They only consume 400-500 calories a day? Dangerous!!
Does this continue past the first week or is it limited to one week only?

They take appetite suppressants and injections to curb hunger. Some of them have to lower their doses to be able to eat!

I have lost 75 Pounds with medi weight loss clinics the one in woburn. I was put on the 500 ketogenic diet with an appetite suppressent where i did not find myself hungry @ all. If there were times when i was hungry the NP would uppen my calories and just simply tell me to add in more veggies fruit and protien throughout my day and also replace my calories after excersing. i recommend this diet for anyone ! and the staff is extremly supportive and very family oriented. As for the cost to lose 75 pounds all the money in the world can go to them :)

I am 31-years old and have been overweight since I was 18. I had tried other diets and could not do it. This one is working. I've been on it for 6 weeks and lost 31 pounds. Vitamins, meds, shots and guidance help A LOT. For the first time I feel like I might be able to meet my goal. I don't think it will work for anyone, but if you are willing to make a big lifestyle change, it will work for you.
